SCHOOL
MODULES
As soon as practicable
we will provide introductory background and power point lecture materials
developed by Irina Pollard for her bioscience ethics course as taught
at Macquarie University. For now check out Teaching
and Learning Paper (in pdf format) with undergraduates.
The multidisciplinary
project ‘A Cross-Cultural Introduction to Bioethics ’ from
the Eubios Ethics
Institute has shaped free on-line and printed teaching and learning
materials for bioethics designed for school and university use. Check
out the second edition of the textbook
available on this site or the original at http://www.unescobkk.org/index.php?id=bioethics_textbook.
The ‘Biotechnology
Online School Resource’ http://www.biotechnology.gov.au/biotechnologyonline/
project is an Australian government education initiative intended to
increase general ethical awareness of biotechnology and its uses. The
resource was developed for students in years 9 and 10 in mind; however,
in conjunction with the Eubios Dictionary
project it would also be useful for years 11 and 12 students in the
biological sciences.
